ROME: Chelsea have agreed to loan Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku to Serie A side Roma.
According to Italian media reports, AS Roma will pay Chelsea 5.8 million euros and Lukaku will be paid a salary of 7.5 million euros a year.
Lukaku is expected to arrive in Rome for a medical today.
In Rome, Lukaku will partner Jose Mourinho again, who previously coached the striker at Chelsea and Manchester United.
Lukaku returns to Chelsea in 2021 for 115 million euros from Inter Milan.
He joined Chelsea for the first time in 2011 and moved to Everton in 2014 before joining Manchester United and Inter Milan.
Lukaku, 30, returned to Inter last season on loan, scoring 14 goals.
Roma have signed Iranian Sardar Azmoun on loan from Bayer Leverkusen and Paris Saint-Germain centre-backs Leandro Paredes and Renato Sanches (on loan).
Houssem Aouar has signed a five-year contract with Roma after moving from Lyon in June.
Roma have collected one point after the first two matches in Serie A this season
